Elizabeth was delighted to see Bo this morning. My stay with her at CHOP was non-eventful. The pain seemed to be worse this round, so we upped the basal on the PCA and left it running. This put her in a better mood than she was in during the last 2 rounds. But no Diane, she has not pooped. But we ARE giving her lots of softeners and movers.
She has today and tomorrow but she and Boyd should be home in time for dinner Saturday night- we hope.
We saw our good friends Braedon and Dawn at CHOP. We met Braedon during our first antibody round, right before Christmas. Braedon had stage 4 NB and had visible tumors. He has been through a lot of chemo and had surgery this week. Dawn said that the report was that the tumors they could get from his abdomen were over 95% dead. This is really really great news.
And It makes me feel so very grateful for all of the amazing research that has gone on over the last five years. And how the treatment for NB has improved in the last 5 years. And how we need to keep paying it forward. Because the children and families that are in treatment now are benefiting from the fund-raising done by the families and children that came before us.
And I stopped by the house before I went to school today. There was a package with daffodils from our good friends Myae, Zoe, Mary and Lee. Your thoughtfulness and kindness really brightens our lives every day.
Tee hee, my reputation precedes me. Movers and shakers, good to know they’re staying on top of things more? Yes?
Thinking of you all and sending the best of wishes!
With love, Diane and Jill

Hi CHOP neighbors –
We’re here – in 3 Central, room 13, thinking of you and hoping Elizabeth is feeling ok.
I’m scared to death about Arden’s tandem SCR, but I know we’re in good hands, thanks to your reports about the docs, nurses, and general excellent care here. You’re already “paying it forward” to folks like us.
Keeping you all in our thoughts & prayers!
God bless,
Amy, Rick, Arden & Grayson Bucher

Hope Elizabeth and Bo are home now, and you’re all settled in for a quiet night at home. Glad you got the daffodils. It’s always spring when there’s daffodils – even when it’s still snowing outside.
Love,
Mary, Lee, Zoe, and Maya
